The Sama Ganam which is believed to have laid the foundation for Indian classical music, consists of hymns from the Rig Veda, set to musical tunes which would be sung using three to seven musical notes during Vedic Yajnas.
Kalaimamani Smt. GEETHA RAJA has established herself as a well known concert vocalist in South Indian classical music for more than four decades. She is an accomplished musician with Master’s degrees in Music and English.

I am humbled and blessed to be receiving the title of ” Sangita Kala Acharya” from the Madras Music Academy in its ensuing December Music Festival 2024. The award will be given at the Sadas on 1st January 2025.
This is a milestone in my musical journey.
